Wells Fargo announced a copy weeks ago that it was going to remove itself from the Mortgage business… sort of. In a somewhat shocking, somewhat not story, Wells Fargo has ceased new Mortgage Applications, unless the customer is already a client of theres, and to several Minority borrowers.
Considering Wells Fargo is one of the LARGEST banks in the United States, is this REALLY major news, or simply a way to look good in the press after another round of record setting penalties and fines imparted by the SEC? Would love your comments!
